Over the last few years, I’ve had the opportunity to architect and deliver systems for two major German D2C brands on Shopify Plus. It’s the kind of work that tests every layer of your skill set: storefront performance, operational tooling, returns automation, multi-channel constraints, checkout extensibility, app architecture, sales features, shop modes… the everyday reliability that large-scale commerce depends on.

And in environments like these, the quality of your decisions becomes visible immediately: in conversions, system stability, team workflows, customer experience. This kind of responsibility shapes you.

A New Chapter (That Isn’t Really a Restart)

Earlier this year, after eight years in Germany, I made the personal decision to return to Brazil. Moving countries is always a big step, but the transition brought something unexpected and deeply meaningful: an invitation to continue supporting the same brands as an independent partner, if I was willing to formalize a business and take this next step professionally. I am extremely grateful for this trust and for the opportunity to continue contributing to their growth.

That’s how RABENOLI SOFTWARE began.

Not as a plan to go solo, but as the natural evolution of work that was already in motion. This shift opened space to grow, to expand capacity, to take on new clients, to build a team when needed, and to develop systems that go beyond what a traditional developer role usually allows.

It feels like the right moment personally and professionally, and it aligns with where the commerce industry is heading.

Commerce is Changing Faster Than Ever

One thing is clear to me: we’re entering a fundamentally new era of e-commerce.

  • AI is reshaping everything from support flows to product data operations.

  • Shopify is evolving into a complete commerce platform, not just a storefront builder.

  • Functions, extensions, and native APIs now allow architectures that simply weren’t possible two years ago.

  • Operational automation has become a competitive advantage, not a luxury.

  • More brands are replacing SaaS apps with stable, owned systems tailored to how they work.

For developers who enjoy building, improving, integrating and structuring, this is a unique moment.

Where I’m Choosing to Focus

Drawing from the experience of building at scale with Smilodox and Neosupps, I’m focusing my work where custom engineering truly moves the needle:

✓ Custom Shopify Plus Architecture
Replacing unnecessary apps with clean, owned logic. Structuring systems around metafields, Functions, and maintainable Liquid + JavaScript experiences.

✓ Extensions, Admin Tools & Internal Apps
Automation, workflows, internal dashboards, data processing — the infrastructure behind how teams operate.

✓ Performance, Reliability & UX
Themes that load fast, scale under peak traffic, integrate with operations, and remain maintainable over years, not months.

✓ AI-Augmented Commerce
Not hype, but practical implementations: automated support flows, product data enrichment, internal tooling that accelerates teams.

Because ultimately, the work isn’t just to code.
It’s to design systems - the care in each decision that makes everything coherent, stable, and genuinely useful.

Looking Ahead

Returning to Brazil didn’t slow anything down, it clarified the direction.

I’m continuing to support the brands I’ve grown with, which I’m grateful for, while opening space for new partnerships and deeper architectural work.

This is the beginning of a larger phase: bringing together architecture, engineering, and AI to help brands build the systems that will grow with them.

A new chapter built with purpose. And I’m excited to share more along the way.
